There are many ways to get pain relief and fix problems.  Chiropractic is not just applied in the traditional way with the Doctor using his hands and “getting bones moving” or “making the popping and clicking noises”.  Dr. Cooke uses the traditional adjustment along with other methods to make sure he can help anyone while making them feel comfortable at the same time.

The Diversified Technique

This is a widely used type of chiropractic manipulation/adjustment that includes most of the procedures taught in chiropractic institutions. This technique is the most commonly used of all chiropractic techniques and is the one probably most familiar to patients. The Diversified manipulation/adjustment entails a high velocity, low-amplitude thrust delivered by hand and possibly with assistance from a table or block. As the name implies, the Diversified Technique can be used to treat many of the joints in the body.

The Webster Technique

The Webster protocol is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of vertebral misalignments. This improves neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis. Originally, it was designed to restore normal physiological function of the mother and improve her comfort throughout pregnancy in preparation for a safer, easier birth.

Hypervolt Massage Therapy

This type of targeted deep tissue massage can help relieve common muscle pain and stiffness, improve range of motion and blood flow, and reduce injury risks down the road. With four interchangeable head attachments, it’s also easy to customize your recovery work to any specific region of the body, opening up more options than a standard foam roller or other static mobility tools.

MRT – Myofascial Release Technique

Myofascial Release Technique or MRT is treatment for sports injuries of soft tissues. It is extremely effective when it comes to treating soft tissue conditions such as shin splints, tight calf muscles and IT Band problem. Work-related pain like carpal tunnel or shoulder and neck tension will also benefit from ART.

Kinesio Taping

Kinesio Tape is a special adhesive tape that has elastic properties. Kinesio Tape can reduce inflammation, promote better circulation, prevent injury, facilitate healing, the help the neuromuscular system relearn propler function.

TMJ – Temporomandibular joint disorder treatment

Temporomandibular joint disorders or TMJ describe conditions where the connecting point between the jaw and the skull becomes painful and swollen. Symptoms might include pain in the jaw, trouble chewing or talking, headaches, and neck pain. Chiropractors can help by relieving tension and pressure, which reduces pressure on nerves. This then alleviates pain associated with TMJ.

Activator Method

The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation, known as the high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) thrust. Next to the Diversified technique, the Activator Adjusting Instrument is reported to be the most common therapeutic intervention used by chiropractors.
